Denise E Bolanos, nvmt.6185
Denise received her massage training at Cortiva Institute, Tucson in 2012. She completed a 750-hour program with a 3.98 GPA. Her school was mostly Western-influenced with a clinical focus. Her training included Swedish, Deep Tissue, Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Sports, Prenatal and other modalities. Much of her focus was on advanced work for less-treated muscles like subscapularis, longus colli, and psoas.
Denise was licensed in Arizona in January, 2013. She completed a national certification from NCBTMB in February of 2013 and received her Nevada license NVMT.6185 in March 2013.
Her work experiences include 4-star resorts, the World Series of Poker, chiropractic offices, Korean day spa, lead therapist with a casino floor and poolside company, and she even survived a whole week at a franchise! Her work experiences have taught her about body scrubs, hot/cold stone, hot towels/wet heat and safe stretching. She has worked on thousands of bodies since 2012.
Her continued educational focus is on orthopedic and medical massage. Denise is a regular customer of massage and loves face, hand, and foot massage. She's completed courses in facial massage, traditional Thai massage, mobility work, and medical contraindications.
The first massage office she opened was inside a rock climbing gym, followed by a small office in a wellness center and most recently, a spa inside of a gym. Las Vegas is a challenging market to open an independent practice within. Zoning regulations and commercial storefront brothels, known for human trafficking, make it an extremely challenging market to grow and expand within.
